Newspaper child

Hello, I have two questions about the theme Newspaper that I want to update

1.- Is the Newspaper theme compatible with the option to create a child theme? To avoid that customizations are lost in the updates.
2.- Does the theme include the latest version of the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin?

Currently I have:
Version Newspaper: 7.5
WPBakery Visual Composer Version: 4.12.1

1. Our theme does have a child theme support as presented here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
2. Yes, our latest theme verion (7.8) includes the latest version of visual composer. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Please make sure you download he full theme package. The child theme will be found under the ‘code’ folder: https://www.screencast.com/t/9trDduvA2c
