Newspaper in mobile

Hi
I had my site without Mobile Theme in cell phone view because I needed to show some modules that Mobile theme don’t show, or really I think don’t show. My problem with template view is because have some problems: one of them is the first grid module (Big Grid 1) is no responsive. In phone there are a scroll for to see it. The second problem is the extension of Blocks. If I have 14 posts in computer view, I need only 4 in cell phone view and I can see this is not possible with only Newspaper template.
But also in Mobile Theme the possibilities are less. Is it possible to include another section in the Mobile Theme? For example, I have a block with post authors that I would like to see on the home page.

This is my problem. The template view has responsive and long-term problems, while Mobile theme is very, very restricted.
Anyway, I would prefer to restrict the extensions of the Blocks to the view in the cell phone, and don’t use Mobile Theme. Is this possible?

Hello,

Please test big grid 1 here to see the responsiveness: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
As for the second request, yes it is possible if you use the different screen sizes in the tagdiv composer. Basically you create 2 blocks. One that is only shown on desktop/tablets and is hidden for mobile devices and the second one that is hidden on tablets and desktop and only shows up on mobile devices. Use these buttons to change settings based on device: https://www.screencast.com/t/7Dg5tS5bQBW

Thank you!

Hello Escobar,

Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results! If the problem is still there, I recommend you to make a new install to another subdomain for testing. If you will check our demo tutorial you will see that Big Grid is responsive.

Thanks for your understanding!

No, really the BigGrid 1 is no responsive in https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1.
Anyway, the client prefers Mobile Theme, but I have some problems for to show the content because I have some pages and no only posts. I can see the content space for mobile theme in pages accept HTML code but no the tagDiv composer code. How can I add for example a column of post in mobile page? Please do you have some documentation for do this? Thank you

Hello Sebastian Escobar,

Please notice that if you want to use the Mobile Plugin you will not customize the mobile pages, sorry! Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you will use the General Responsive Mode, you can customize mobile page using the TD Composer.

Hope that help!

Thanks.

Yes. I like, is better the General Responsive Mode but my only problem is with BigGrid. I have a strong argument for to to defend the use of the normal template in the cell phone view, if the pages can not be adapted. I have some pages that need to be seen in good shape and if Mobile theme can not do it, then the alternative is to stay with the normal site.
But what do I do with BigGrid 1?
Maybe I have to create a BigGrid 5 only for mobil? (I tested in https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-5/ and I think this work)

Hello Escobar,

Please notice that our Big Grids are fully responsive for mobile devices, sorry! Make sure that you are not using some untested plugins which can break this functionality for those elements. You can provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at your Big Grid.

Thanks for your understanding!
