Newspaper Theme Creating 2 Versions of All Posts

Hi,

I’m having a serious issue when creating new posts in the Newspaper theme. It seems to create 2 exact versions of the post with a different permalink. One that is correct and one that leaves out one of the category levels…

Here’s an example that it has created over and over again with different posts on my website…

Correct Permalink: https://example.com/widget/blue/best-blue-widgets
Unnecessary Duplicate of Post: https://example.com/widget/best-blue-widgets

Somehow Google is picking up the incorrect duplicate and indexing it even though it’s not linked to from anywhere.

How can I stop this duplicate from being created?

Hi,

First please re-save the permalinks.
If is not working please try to deactivate all plugins that are not tested with our theme https://www.screencast.com/t/oZYW3ylY0V , clear all cache.
Please make sure that you have the last version of theme ( Newspaper 9.1 ), if you don’t have it please update the theme.
