Newspaper v 4.0 topic

I had to revert back to 3.9.2

me too 🙁

I was about to update. But now, I think I’d better stay with what I already have. New post styles seem cool though, especially the full featured image thing.

Since updating to Newspaper 4.0, the slider at the top of my site does not display the featured stories:

Only two come up in the slider, with none along the side. I am using the homepage slide settings. The site looks fine in Safari but not in Chrome.

Can you advise what the issue might be?

Hey, your home page slider seems to work for me in IE11/Win7-64bit on desktop just fine. I see all the images on both slides A-Okay.

Featured video post option still doesn’t work properly with post style 3, even after update 4.1. The title, comment and post icons are overlapping the video. You can’t click on pause and play then.

Thanks, The big slide now works in Chrome too, even though I didn’t change anything. So the problem has been resolved.

I have updated to version 4.1 and regenerated the thumbnails – thanks for the quick fixes. many of the issues have been resolved but still have these:

1. Speed booster still removes your BG images option + third party form builders and widgets break.

2. Sticky navigation still doesn’t work (same as on your demo)

3. On the home page the Big Slide option still stacks all the images. I have tried saving different options but nothing works. Your demo homepage 4 does work? At the moment I have added the Slide option above but you can still see the Broken Big Slide below it: http://coconutoilpost.com/

I think it might be a conflict with your templates and how you have one set into the BG Image. I tried all the template options but still didn’t fix the issue.

Also tried deactivating all but your own recommended plugins.

Can you please advise?

Found another issue with 4.1 and the mega menu. The top layer images look as normal but if you use the arrows to view more posts then all subsequent thumbnails turn to ghost images.

If you go down the side for the secondary links then all images go to ghost mode. You also get two menu items highlighting?

Adding to the list…

Setting a new post and going through the new template options shows that only the current version and the next one with smaller image work all other options don’t show the image in full width and any text or headline runs outside the container next to the navigation.

Text blocks and fonts with H3 and <B> are bigger in the latest version.

My featured images are also not centered anymore.

How to use the new post option and where to find them.

Hi,

I have problems with the Big Slide on the homepage.

The first image (the big one) you can see properly, while the three images side not seen. I tried to regenerate the thumbs and does not work. It does not work even with the new article be inserted after the update. (you can see at http://www.autotoday.it )

I then a question: with this update, I noticed that the system of unique article no longer takes in consideration the articles included in the mega menu. I like this new feature, I would like to know if it will remain so in the coming updates, or you will be considered this a bug?

Thanks for the update to 4.2 but unfortunatley everuthing is still the same.

Tried all Sticky menu settings before and now but not working. Navigation for mega menu not working and sliders.

Have sent an email with the details.

Good morning. After updating the theme, the auto play of big slider I use in home page doesn’t work. Before updating, it worked ok just adding the attribute autoplay=”x” to the short code. You can see it in uclmtv.uclm.es

Moreover, the attribute auto play is not available in the visual composer when you add/edit a big slider, although it was before updating.
