They are, however, mostly appearing in individual posts. And they’re also appearing in mobile, although I do not have a separate mobile template. I’m also using Ezoic, so I can’t tell if the issue is the theme or Ezoic.

I reached out to WordPress support, and got this reply:
I just checked the images and I can see the theme has a CSS rule that sets the image opacity to zero, which is causing the issue. Here’s a short screen recording showing the issue: https://a.cl.ly/v1ugWDwv
I can see you are using a third-party theme and we are unable to support third-party products. While we’re experts on our own products, third-party plugins and themes are best supported by their own respective developers. More importantly, I would rather not give you any incorrect information.
I had that problem when I used Ezoic. Try flushing the Ezoic cache.
If the image reappear, youll know it was the Ezoic cache.
My guess is that for some reason Ezoic was blocked from accessing the images and so it stored nothing in the cache.
Are you also using Cloudflare?

Yes, I’m using Cloudflare. It was an option with Ezoic that I turned on, although I haven’t used it separately. I’m really an amateur with all of this, so I don’t really even know what it is.
Turning off lazy loading worked, and I think my site is loading faster too. The images always had an annoying delay, and now they seem to load faster. It’s great!
