Will setting offset to 1 exclude the latest post from showing in random / popular blocks?
Thanks.
Hello Ryansmccain,
Notice that the offset functionality allows you to jump over the first post in random/popular posts.
For more information about offset feature, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
Thanks for your understanding!
Well, what I’m wondering is can I keep the latest posts from appearing in the trending and random post blocks?
Hi,
A random sorting using all categories for example, will display posts randomly, so it would not matter when the post was published.
Setting an offset of 1 in a block sorted by random would skip the fist post, whatever that may be, in no relation to it being the latest published post.
You can exclude categories, you can also exclude individual posts if needed. Or you can choose from which category/categories the posts will be picked. Those would be enough options to control the posts a block dispalys

Ya, I understand what offset means. I use that so my latest post doesn’t show up in latest posts. What I’m wondering is there any setting or flag I can set so that the latest post does not appear in popular or random posts?
I know now that offset doesn’t make sense here but am wondering if there is any way to do this.
Thank you.
Hi,
Other than excluding it manually in the block there would be no other way to not display it in a block.
That will require you to edit the page and place the post ID in the post filter
