I am trying to change the Pulse PRO template by changing some of the colors. I change the colors but they are not reflected on the live site.

Hi batchelorjc, all pro demos needs to be edited using the tagDiv Composer, those are made using the cloud templates (the theme panel settings comes with the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin and is used for non pro demos).
