Hello danofthe,

Do you want to mean that your background added to the category page does not work? This functionality has been fully tested and it seems to work as expected.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin,

I mean that when I added backrgound to the category it messed up the category page. Did you check the link I mentioned ? Even after removing the background the page is still the same.

Hi,

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The first link you provided seems to be an attachment page from what I can see, the category page would be this one
http://cygni.danoftheworld.org/category/vietnam/
So when you set a background image for the category page in the theme panel, this breaks the page.
Does this happen for all the category pages? Some examples of what happens would be helpful. Also does this happen if you disable all your non-theme plugins and then setting the background? Let us know.

Thanks

Hi Simion,

No, http://cygni.danoftheworld.org/vietnam/ also opens as a category page, before setting up background image the page was similar to http://cygni.danoftheworld.org/australia/ (this page is also acting as the category page)

For you question is it happening to other categories too, I haven’t tested for any other category as I thought of contacting you before trying another.

Now that is unusual, so when setting a simple background image for the category page, it no longer functions properly and leads to an attachment page. I have not seen this before, this is not proper functionality.

I suggest to begin with the basics. Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, remove any theme modifications, switch from the child theme to the main theme. Temporarily remove codes entered in the theme panel if you have any.
Also try changing the permalink structure to a default one and save. Ultimatelyy you could try re-installing the theme, by FTP would be most recommended

Let us know what you find.

Its not leading to attachment page. Check this now http://cygni.danoftheworld.org/category/the-world-blog/vietnam/

I again attached background image and what happened.

The only plugins installed are the theme ones. Switched back to main theme. There are no codes in theme options. Still the issue is same .

It may be a problem with your permalinks, could you please switch to a default WordPress permalink structure and save the settings

Check if this has any effect.

We could take a look at this problem, send us admin login at contact@tagdiv.com. If possible provide FTP and cPanel access as well. Include a link to this topic in the email.
