Hello, we use your theme for https://slpress.gr and have some issues when there are many visitors. After reaching our hosting company they reported as that gtmetrix (report is here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/slpress.gr/mkWp4JMx ) in Waterfall tab shows one GET of the site in the beggining and a second one again near the end. This propably causes double load as they insist so the performance problems are not due to the server but due to the design of the site.
Unfortunately we could not find out why this “double” GET exists. Could you help us?

From what I can see one of the biggest issues is with the images. Somewhere in the website there are scaled images served to website visitors, check where are the images mentioned in the report used

For example the first image mentioned there in the test results is used here

That slide loads somewhat big images which would not be needed for such a small slider

Try to optimize the images served by the website and reduce the page size (homepage has 6.3MB for example). Check some guides
