Hello!
Set up your thumbs from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Block settings -> Thumbs on modules/blocks. If you deactivate a dimension from there, next time when you will upload an image, it will not be resized to that dimension.
After changing the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

I have the same problem. The images do not appear on the site, I have already disabled all plugins, reinstalled Newspapper and the problem follows.
Through the image link I can access it normally, I upload it and in a few hours it appears like this in the admin panel and no longer appears on the site.
