Possible bug with Newsmag/WordPress 4.9.2

I was testing a fresh installation of WP 4.9.2 and the latest version of Newsmag on a sub domain.

Using WP 4.9.2 the Admin login goes into a redirect loop and fails to load the page after submitting login credentials. I tested on a default WP theme and no issues. In the end I had to downgrade WordPress to 4.9.1 and it worked fine.

Might not be related, but you may want to manually install WP 4.9.2 vs from panel. We had a bunch of server timeout issues from the main WP upgrade server the other day due to overload on their end (!). So, took couple of tries to get system updated couple of sites for our Newsmag sites.

The install was only the latest WordPress (4.9.2) and Newsmag theme with zero plugins installed or activated. The installation is on a dedicated server, system parrameters are all set much higher than what is required by the theme and wordpress. I tried multiple installations on WP 4.9.2 and all exibited the same login issue. The moment I changed the theme to a default WP theme, or when I downgraded to WP 4.9.1 the problem was resolved. Of course this does not ultimately suggest that Newsmag has a bug but just sharing my experience nonetheless should there be some validity. As I am sure your developers would like to know if there was some truth. If you can’t repeat the issue than I guess there is no bug and it must be something on my end I am unaware of.

We have this same issue with TagDiv Composer – if that plugin is enabled, we cannot log in to WP Admin due to too many redirects. We instead have to use Visual Composer
