I would like to use the review system in my custom post type (restaurants). However, I do not see “post settings” when creating a new restaurant, but I do when I create a regular wordpress post. Is there a way to enable post settings on custom post types? The single is pretty much the same as a new single, with some custom fields added, like address, opening times, ect.

Unfortunately the Post settings are not available for Custom Post Type. Please keep in mind that you cannot link the post settings to your custom post type because these are just two different taxonomies and the functionality of post settings will not work for your custom post type. A quick solution in this regard would be to change the default post template for your desired results, and then you will have the post settings. It is just a suggestion. So there is no way of having the theme’s “review system”? I mean I could probably make it myself, but I like the default one very much.

Maybe additional options regarding post options for custom post types will be added in future updates, but I could not say for sure when this will happen. You could try to search for a review plugin that you can use in this case, for the time being.
