Is there a way to change the lang attribute for individual posts? Most of our posts are in Spanish, but sometimes we publish posts in other languages. We don’t need to translate categories, menus or any other element, we just need to indicate the language for specific posts.
Thanks
Hello!
Check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
But we don’t want to translate anything, we just publish some posts in a different language. The main content (menus, categories, tags, header, footer…) would still be in our main language. We just need to be able to declare the language attribute for the posts in another language (like the html lang attribute).
For instance, the following post is in English: http://lalinternadeltraductor.org/n13/cuisine-interpreting.html
and this one is in French: http://lalinternadeltraductor.org/n13/huile-olivier.html, but the main language of our website is Spanish.
We need to declare the language of articles which are not in Spanish for accessibility purposes. If we don’t declare that those articles are not in Spanish, a screen reader will use the Spanish pronunciation engine, instead of the right language, which will make them impossible to understand for the person who’s listening.
I hope it is clearer now.
Thanks
