I have the 2018 City News template installed and when I now install the City Pro template by checking ‘design only’, it breaks the categories and tags. I have to restore backup as almost all content is deleted

If you install a new City Pro demo (design only), then it will let your content be as it was before the old demo, City News. If the content was from the old demo, then it will be removed automatically. You are responsible for adding the content.
