But even if I do it manually in my Google+ page does not show the featured image shows another. Unfortunately the theme does not control this behavior of g+. It sometimes grabs the first image it can see on a website and sometimes the mega-menu images get pulled before the featured image of the post. Unfortunately there is no definitive solution to this problem. There is one thing you can try as specified by this topic:

But even so, this is not 100% it will work. it worked for some users and it did not work for others. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about how google captures images from the website.
