Problem with Primary category

When we use the Module Taxonomies in the flex block builder, if the post has more than one category, the category displayed is always a first in alphabetical order. How do we display the Primary category?

The same problem happens when we use Single Post Categories in single template

Hello,

For me the problem also occurs.

The url of the posts on the pages and the home of the categories are not respecting the primary category chosen through Yoast.

This needs to be corrected.

Hello @fabinhoalmeida !

The priority is to use the primary category from the theme options: https://prnt.sc/GsPmdu64k9f4

Thank you!

Hi Bettina,

Thank you for the instruction. I’ve already done this test and even following these steps in the Newspaper settings, the primary category is not respected, just like with Yoast. In the Flex Block, when using pagination, after the first page, when loading more highlights using the load more button or when loading the infinite load, the permalink of the posts does not follow the primary category configured when publishing the article, regardless of whether it was selected by the Yoast or the Newspaper.

I suggest that you try to reproduce the problem in your environment to identify that it is really a technical issue.

I’m waiting for news about it!

If it helps everyone, I was having the same / similar problem; I couldn’t get the sibling categories in the order I wanted on a category page – always alphabetical. SO I found a plugin called “Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order” by NSP Code and it plays very nicely with the theme. Well, it does for me. You can sort categories and taxonomies to appear any way you want. Hope that helps

Hi fabinhoalmeida, we’ll try the steps you mentioned and see if we can recrate this problem on our test site.

Thank you!
