Hi, I noticed that it is possible to set a video instead of the featured image. Setting the post format as “video”. Very well.
I would like to know if it is possible to do the same thing with a Gallery.
So, if I insert a gallery in a post, I set a post format like “gallery” I can see the gallery instead of the featured image. And in the category/homepage an icon is displayed to make it clear that that post contains a gallery.
Another question: is there a function that transforms all the block galleries of a WordPress post (even those created previously) into a better media gallery?
It seems to me that “Slider Revolution” is quite complex. I would need that when simple galleries are loaded, they are displayed with a slide.

That is correct, there is an option to create video posts with a featured video https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
The theme provides the standard, video, audio post formats.
A gallery post format is not available unfortunately.
However, using a standard post template for example one that does not display the featured image, like these ones https://prnt.sc/y04j4o and inserting the gallery at the top of the post content, it will be same as a featured gallery, as the gallery will be at the top of the post. You can still set a featured image for the post, so it will have a thumbnail, but in the post page it will not be displayed using those post templates, the gallery will be first.
Or you can use any cloud post template, as the featured image element can simply be removed from them in the composer.
Perhaps there are gallery plugins that can automatically transform previously created default galleries in their type of provided gallery. That may not work with our gallery element, but default WordPress galleries could be converted maybe. I haven’t tried such plugins however, so I can’t say for sure. Installing a dedicated gallery plugin will allow further galleries to be created with it, but converting older galleries from posts and pages as well, I can’t say if that is possible exactly.
