Hi guys,
I bought the theme back in August and haven’t updated it yet. I’ve just been nervous and didn’t want to lose or break my website. I’m running version 7.3, but feel it’s time to update it.
I’ve read that I need to backup the files in case something goes wrong, but how do I do that? Do I have to download a certain plugin in order to back it up?
I’ve watched this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=16&v=r0hNjfCve1E), and it sounds like it’s pretty easy… I was just wondering if you had any tips for a newbie like me that has never done this before. Also, I DON’t plan on doing it through FTP… just WordPress.

If you follow every step of the update process explained in this tutorial – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ everything should be fine. It explains each of the update procedures either it’s with wordpress or through ftp, as well as instructions about the backup process – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups Anyway, if you run into problems we are here to help you get through them.

I went ahead and followed the instructions, and updated the theme via WordPress to version 7.7. However, when I try and update the WPBakery Visual Composer from 4.12 I get the following message: “Update Failed: Update package not available.”
I see that there is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available (version 5.0.1). But when I try and update it, I get the “Update Failed: Update package not available.”
Did I do something wrong trying to update the theme from 7.3?
Nevermind. I figured it out. Case closed. Is there a way to delete replies and questions?
