On the MainStRock.com homepage, the Big Grid 3 sort order is set to “Random”. However it is the same posts that appear over and over again. It is not doing a random rotation. I am having the same issue with all of the “Block” elements.

Please check your caching plugin and it’s settings. We recommend using wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
You can also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Plugin conflicts can also cause theme elements to not function properly.

They do not recommend using other caching plugins besides the one you mention. You can only use one caching system at a time. However the random post sorting is heavily affected by all caching implementation. Such dynamic sorting may not work properly or at all with any caching basically.

Please deactivate all other caching plugins if you have others installed, leave only super cache active if you want to start using this plugin.
It could be a conflict between multiple caching configurations. So check if there are such plugins installed or maybe caching services provided by the server.

But it is the only cache I have activated. In addition, I deactived one at a time EVERY plug in I have and I am still having the same issue. I really need this random rotation to work, I have done all of the suggestions and it is still not working. Please advise.

Hi,
It seems to point to an advanced cache file in the wordpress install folder (wp-content). This could be from a different caching system and could affect the super cache. I could not say if you should remove it or not. I have not seen this issue before and also there are no mentioned of this online.
You could try to first backup that file (wp-content/advanced-cache.php) and remove it. Then check if the super cache works without any errors.

I am still having the same issue. The only plugins I have are Newspaper 8.5, and my entire site is based on your theme. This is something I really need working please. Thank you for your help to fix this.
