Hi,
related article by tag seems to not work properly after last update. I have set it by tag in the theme menu and have properly set different tags for articles so it should sort them by tag. It seems that it messes them up without sorting by tag. Checked options couple of times. No caching plugins or anything to cause errors. Everything is last version set according to documentation.

I am having the same problem with related posts by category. I have every settings under control but related articles don’t sort with assigned categories but only displays recent posts.

installing updated theme did not help me with the same problem.
I thought that child theme is causing this but activating parent Newspaper theme still show recent posts instead of category posts.

Please make sure you use version 7.1.1 of our theme and disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check the related articles again.
