Hello,
Just recently my girlfriend bought the Newspaper theme. I made a front page for her with two columns, Revolution slider version 4.6.5 and block 8 on the leftside 2/3 column size and block 7 and block 8 on the rightside 1/3 column size. Everything worked nicely for some weeks until today when she was publishing a new post. The two columns lost all space inbetween them and all excerpts showed in bold letters. I changed out the revolution slider with the standard slider and all went back to normal. What is the problem? Am I being hacked or is there an conflict with the revolution slider 4.6.5?

You can try to disable all plugins, leave just Visual Composer an Revolution Slider active, also clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN and check if the issue is still there. If you say that it worked maybe was a plugin conflict there.

The problem is still there. But I havnt updatet the Visual composer from the version that is in the Newspaper theme since it cost money. Do I have to?

The last theme update(4.6.2) include last version of Visual Composer(4.4.2) you can find it in the ../plugins folder from the theme files that you download from themeforest: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ so if you want to update you don’t have to buy it or register it. We provide updates on a regular basis, after we test the plugin for theme compatibility the plugin is included in the latest theme update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-update-visual-composer-2/

Except from Akismet I only installed the plugins that the theme demanded I install. And they have been there from I first installed the theme.
What else could be the problem?

I know updatet the theme and Visual Composer and JetPack. It says version 444 so I hope that is correct. It hasnt done any difference but maybe if I update Revolution slider? If I do that then I have to make the templates with animation and the post slide again.

The revolution slider also has a complete wrong look on the text and the slider dont seem to change slides.
Can I turn it back to normal slideshow now?
Since I didnt hear anything from you on the last reply I had to switch back to the frontpage with standard slidshow. Let me know if you want me to turn it back to the revolution slider to see how the frontpage is messed up.
