Searching for a way to insert Video-Codes into featured video templates

Hi there,

this is a question I have aksed a few years ago. And it’s still up to date for me. I really would love to use the video templates of the theme. But we do not insert external sources a youtube or vimeo, as the DSGVO in germany makes these kind of external stuff quite complicate.

To still beeing able serving vidoes within our magazine, we have made contracts with two companies. One is brid.tv. We use their player as our own. We can insert every of our videos with the help of wordpress shortcodes. The other service we use is glomex. They provide us with news-related videos. Their player is inserted with a script.

Has there been a solution found within the last few years, to get this running now?

I think this will be the best option for us. Although I will have to wait until the next month, as custom work will not be for free .. 🙂 But that’s okay to me! This feature is too important for us.

If you are referring to the featured videos, the situation is still the same, only videos from the providers mentioned in the guide can be set https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/

I’m having troubles setting videos from Facebook and Twitter, Youtube works well, any idea about this? Is there a especial setting for those to work? Youtube links works as expected, but Facebook and Twitter video links don’t.
