Settings Not Updating in Newsmag 2.3.7

Greetings,

When I access the Theme Panel and attempt to make changes via the GUI (i.e. change the header style), I can select a new header style and then click the button “Save Settings”; however, the look/view never changes on the actual page, and when I access the theme panel again, the Header Style setting has NOT changed.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hi,

I suspect this issue may be cause by the max_input_vars parameter on your server, the default value for it is 1000 and we recommend that you change it to 5000 or more. For more information about this please check our guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thank you!

Emil,

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, the max_input_vars variable was changed to 5000, and the problem persists.

Please advise.

Hello golfer6934,

Try to make a new clean install from scratch with another domain via FTP and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet. For more information about FTP method, consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/ Also, check your server configuration to be the same with our requirements, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Notice that the theme is fully tested and compatible and should work as expected. Until now, we do not have any bad reports in this regard.

Thanks for your understanding and let us know how it goes!

Catalin,

Thank you for your response.

“Until now, we do not have any bad reports in this regard.”

Perhaps this defect is the first time it’s been reported?

I’m not sure a full re-install is possible at this point. What’s your refund policy?
