I have removed my sidebar after a long time but there is still a line above where the sidebar should be on all pages Please can you let me know how I can remove this. I think maybe it is customer code I have added but It was so long ago i’m not sure. Also, how can i prevent removal of the sidebar and sidebar background image from causing problems in googles eyes. Is this something you would issue a 401 code for or doesn’t it matter?
Also, will the text revert to the centre of the page if that is removed and is there a way to adjust the position of the post text on page?

That line is set in sidebar, if you do not want to have sidebar on posts you need to set the sidebar position on no sidebar -> https://www.screencast.com/t/NQ9Et5KK -> https://www.screencast.com/t/pBFbmaCsoruC this changes will not not make problems with google.
Yes, the text will be set on the full size of width.
If you want to have more control aver the post template you can us a single cloud template from tagDiv Cloud Library
