I have sidebar widget on my homepage how do i make sure the same sidebar widget appears on the categories page

Hello,
You have to create a sidebar and assign it to your categories. On pages you create the sidebar in the visual composer page builder. On category pages or posts you will have to create a sidebar in the widgets area of WordPress and assign it to your category: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
