single template for custom post type

Hi i am using a glossary plugin for my website. How can I use the custom single template that i have created for my default blog post on glossary custom post as well? i cant find any options for that.

Unfortunately at the moment this option is not available on the Newspaper Theme.

I also have a problem with glossary term page – the page format is different than the default/global page or post format. Please help.
