I would like my site to look like this “http://prntscr.com/cc07rm” Please kindly help me of how to go about it.
my site is frenzygh.com
Thanks for your help in advance
Hello frenzygh,
Here is talking about Big Grid 3 feature. So, I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the Blog mode for your website, right? Also, please notice that the Big Grid features are not available for this mode but only if you will use the do_shortcode method for adding the proper code to index.php core file. Also, if you want to switch your page to the Static page you can add this feature using the Visual Composer. For more information about our Grids, please consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your message!
Hello, I was able to create the big grid 3 through visual composer but its not live even though I have published the page. Here is a link to the preview “http://frenzygh.com/212-2/” Kindly help me how to make work on site. Thank you
Hello frenzygh,
I have checked your website, I saw the Big Grid but please notice that in order to achieve best results with this feature, it should have to be right set it. For more information about Block Settings, please read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thanks for your message!
Seems these tutorials are for people with much technical knowledge. I have spent almost 10 hours struggling with this but to no avail. Newspaper theme is too complicated for newbies. Some of the documentation did not provide any step by step tutorials to follow and achieve some tasks. Really frustrating
Hello frenzygh,
Let’s take it easy and I want to explain you step by step what you do not understand. As I have explained you above, this is a Big Grid feature which is available only for the static page and not for Blog. If you want to change this, you can do that from panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Fvrr40eHaAO After this, when you create a new page using the Visual Composer, you will have to add what type of Big Grid you want from the table, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/LHkjPn6nCUr -> http://screencast.com/t/BNJwselk3js and the result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/c0xNRSyqlwBS So, please notice that if you want to fit all the thumbs of Big Grid you must have some posts in your site to have content to be displayed.
I hope that you understand what I tried to explain above and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello, please here is something you must know to assist me further
1. I have switched from blog mode to static page. Here is proof(http://prntscr.com/ccjhqf)
2.I have created the page with visual composer and adding the grid element. You can see from the screenshot(http://prntscr.com/ccjirq)
3. Right after creating it, I previewed it and here is how it looks like(http://prntscr.com/ccjl8t) exactly how I want it to be. Here is even the link to the page (http://frenzygh.com/212-2/)
4. My main worry is, “Why is it not showing on the page as I want it to look like”?
5. Can I give out my login details to check and fix that for me, please?
Thank you in advance
Hello frenzygh,
Thumbs up for your project! I am glad that you begin to understand how you can create your website using our theme. So, please notice that our theme uses some thumbs for displaying the featured images for each post and if your image is too short than that thumb, will appear those gray margins -> http://screencast.com/t/aWWq9JTS As you can see in next example, you are using and image which is less than size of thumb, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/mPUNYhypAvV
Please notice that our system is based on cropping and not for resizing of images. Our cropping system to the center to top. Please notice that the cropping system of our theme is the same for all featured image and this will crop the image from the center to top. Please notice that you cannot change very easy this system and if you want this, please notice that is not a simple task and involve custom work. If you want to better understand this process, please check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/resize-thumbnails-to-proper-size/
If you need more assistance in this regard please provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer. Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello, thanks for the information. I have deactivated the plugins but the new big grid feature still not working when you visit the site. Here is the URL “www.frenzygh.com”
My only problem now is, how to convert this page “http://frenzygh.com/212-2/” to “http://frenzygh.com”
Any suggestion on how to get it done, please? That’s my major problem
As for the image cropping, I will fix it.
Hello frenzygh,
