I have installed Newspaper Theme v6.2 on my website.

The google Page Speed score of my site is very low. For desktop it is 49 and for mobile it is 61.

I have enabled gzip compression and have optimized the WPSuperCache settings as well.
I have checked on console also there are no errors.
Can you tell me what else should i do so that my page speed can be improved.
Perhaps take a look at my sticky post top of the forum on how to optimize your site.
Also, test one of your POST pages, using GTMetrix.com as that will tell you explicitly what still needs to be fixed, such as image optimization, time to live (expiration headers), minify main CSS file, regen thunmbs to serve unscaled images, remove “?” variables, limit loading elements from external sites (e.g., gravatars), etc.

Also try to use only plugins that you need. The speed booster move the js and css at the bottom of the page to Eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins.
