Hi, please I am writing a smart list post for the first time.
The article is about 7 reasons why… but it has ‘introduction’ and ‘conclusion’.
After writing the article the introduction and conclusion was numbered as number 1 and 9.
Is there a way I could have the introduction and conclusion not numbered but in slides like the number 1 to 7 (list 1 to 7).
So basically I want everything as list/slide but numbered from the second list (as 1) if you know what I mean?
Please help, I need to publish this article as soon as possible.

Hi,
It seems you want the introduction and conclusion outside the smart list itself. Then the way to go is use another H tag than the smart list uses. For example the default heading tag for smart lists is h3, so you can use a h2 tag for the introduction and for the conclusion titles so the smart list does not pick them up: http://screencast.com/t/B5LQjNtT0

Yes, I did that but what that does is the introduction will then appear on every list/slide And the conclusion will appear of same list/slide with the last number. If you know what I mean?
How do I make the introduction and conclusion (maybe with the using another H tag) to appear on its own slide – first and last.
So it should be: First slide/list; Introduction (without the numbering), Second slide/list; number one, third slide/list; number two. etc… 8 slide/list; number 7, 9 slide/list; conclusion (without the numbering).

I understand, but the smart lists were numbered for every slide. You cannot remove the number only for one or 2 selected slides. You can either have numbers or you can remove the numbers altogether but Even removing the numbers will not be such an easy task depending on the smart list you use.

If you want a description to show up on only the first slide you will have to add it inside the first slide under the first smart list title. Any content outside of the smart list titles will show up on all slides as only the content under the heading title s will slide depending on the smart list you choose.
There is no easy way of having the description stay only on the first slide and not be included in the smart list.
