Hi TagDiv,
I have an issue that I need resolving that is very hard for me to diagnose but hopefully, you guys can help.
Sometimes when you load my website https://gadgetgang.com it seems to show the mobile version on the desktop, I then refresh the page and it shows the desktop.
It happens like once a week not often at all, but it’s very strange and I need it resolved as I dont want my users have a bad experience and loading the mobile version on desktop.
Please help.
Kind regards,
Dan
Sometimes I also have the same problem (resolves to clear the cache through the plugin or cloudfare).
But I’m really worried if my readers have a poor browsing experience!
It’s good to know that this problem does not just happen to me.
Getting complaints from my users/visitors experiencing this issue now.
Hi,
Usually when the mobile version appear on desktop are some problem with cache plugin, browser cache, please clear all cache and try again.
We recommend using WP Super Cache -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ Make sure if you have followed the steps from this guide if you want to achieve good theme results.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Calin,
Yes, we are using the plugin you advise to use.
So really it’s a bit of a poor reply, I’m sorry but you have all these loyal users that are experiencing the same issue.
So your response is, we are never going to get the issue fixed, we have to continuously clear the cache whenever the problem arises.
Do you honestly think thats fair? To have visitors use our site and then next day they visit they get the mobile theme pushed to them and we have to KNOW our self the issue they are experiencing and clear the cache only to wait for it to happen again.
Very poor support.
Is there not anything you can do? As I will have to change theme, I am not putting up with a ridiculous issue like that, especially when I am using the plugins you advise.
Hi,
Please make sure that all settings for WP Super Cache are set like in our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/B29YAemy
Also if you are using Cloudflare please make sure to be set like in our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-set-up-cloudflare-cdn/
Thank you!
Hi,
Firstly site is not on Cloudflare.
Secondly completed all settings and still having the same issue.
This is not good enough, how can I run a website that pushes a mobile version to my readers, it’s a joke.
Please can you fix this for us all that are experiencing this issue?
Hi,
If the cache plugin is set like in our documentation and you are not using others plugins for cache, please contact your host and ask if you have set a cache on your host, if you have, deactivate the cache from host.
Also please check if you do not have some settings in WordPress for cache.
Thank you!
