Hi,
just about to make my new website live, but have discovered the ‘latest’ sort works on date created. I really need to sort by modified date as that is how I monetise my website. I have researched the forums (https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/sort+modified/) but modifying the ‘oldest post’ does not appear to be having any effect.
Skilled PHP, so if this option is not there – please telly me the best way to modify the core of the theme and I’ll happily share any developments here.
Really important I am able to do this.

It would require to modify one of the existing sorting to display posts by modified date. Check the solution posted in the last part of the topic.

I have tried both ways and it doesn’t work.

and I changed the header block to sort by modified as per the post, updated this post:
https://test.theblackpoolilluminations.info/about/the-lights/alices-garden-tableau/
and it doesn’t feature – help!
Hi – problem resolved.
Forgot I had created a child theme – made the updates there and it worked perfectly. A child theme may be a better way to go rather than modifying the core theme. Easy to forget which files you have updated.
