Good morning,
I need your help with the category settings in Newspaper.
I want to create ONE specific category with a completely different content logic from all the others.
I was able to customize the layout following your tutorial:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/default-category-settings/#:~:text=To%20change%20the%20category%20template,apply%20the%20global%20category%20settings
.
Here is the category where I want to display ONLY the most recently updated posts:
https://www.nuvoledibellezza.com/articoli-aggiornati/
The problem is this:
When I try to filter or sort the posts for this category (for example using Flex Box 1 or trying to show only the latest updated posts), the change is applied globally to ALL categories, even though I want this behavior ONLY for this specific one.
What I need is:
A category that has its own independent filtering logic,
Specifically: to show posts ordered by last modified date,
Without affecting the rest of the categories.
Is there a way to apply a custom post filter or custom sorting only to a single category page, without inheriting or overriding the global settings?
Thank you very much for your support!
After some investigation, it appears that certain elements available in the previous version I was using are no longer present in the latest release.
For example, in the earlier version, there was an element called “Big Grid 12”, which I can’t find in the new version. Instead, I see a similar element named “Big Grid Flex 4”.
As a result, when I open the webpage, instead of the element rendering correctly, I only see the shortcode because the template no longer recognizes the old element.
Example:
[td_block_big_grid_12 category_id=»55473″ sort=»»]
[td_block_2 category_id=»» limit=»6″ header_color=»#000000″ td_ajax_filter_ids=»» td_filter_default_txt=»All» ajax_pagination=»next_prev» td_ajax_filter_type=»» custom_title=»ÚLTIMAS NOTICIAS» custom_url=»últimas_noticias» post_ids=»-65255,-21788, -61097, -101029, -56563″][td_block_1 limit=»5″ custom_title=»RECUPERACIÓN» td_ajax_filter_type=»» td_ajax_filter_ids=»» td_filter_default_txt=»» ajax_pagination=»next_prev» sort=»modified_date» header_color=»#000000″ category_id=»1232″ custom_url=»recuperacion»]
Is there a way to continue using these previous elements, or is the only option to rebuild my website using the new ones?
Thank you.

Hey there!
It would be great if Flex Blocks could show the last modified date, just like the Post Loop block does with its “Show modified date” checkbox.
Right now, even though we can sort posts by “last modified”, it still shows the published date – which makes the order look wrong or confusing.
Adding that checkbox to Flex Blocks would make everything more consistent and clear for readers. Hope you’ll consider it!
Thanks a lot!
Hello!
I’m having issues formatting the search results page. https://nordsip.com/?tdb-loop-orderby=alphabetical_order&s=plastics
1) The “Flexloop” sorting option doesn’t work. As you can see with the link above, this should be sorted from A-Z but it isn’t.
2) If I set up the post loop to be sorted as “-latest-” it doesn’t work. I need to select the “latest modified” to work in a somewhat chronological order.
3) How can I make sure that pages don’t get included in the search results? I have set up the search function by clicking on the “exclude pages” options but as you can see if you click on the link above, the home page and some other pages show up at the top.
Hello,
my question was probably not expressed correctly.
The shortcode “Flex Loop Sorting Option” offers three sorting options that can be selected via checkboxes
1. oldest post
2. modified date
3. alphabetical A -> Z
My question is whether an additional sorting “By Relevance” can be offered here.
A hook for general customization of the search result could also be a solution.
I would also like to know whether plugins such as SearchWP work with the TagDiv Composer shortcodes.
Thank you
How to sort article on category page by last modified date? Not by published date
Thank you
Hi
I installed again 12.6.5 but now I have a default header and default menu.
I tried to reactivate the header template but if I refresg the page ano effect.
I reactivated the footer template. It came back to normal.
All other templates are deactivated.
Some of my customisations – mainly titles – of Title with Text have changed
Color of the button of “Call to Action” is blue which is a default color in newspaper theme.
Same for “Social icons” : icons are blue.
On the Homepage (https://www.stefanegirard.fr/) a code appears : [td_block_big_grid_fl_2 sort= »modified_date » category_ids= »-1405″]
instead of the grid.
and above all I have this message in my back office:
UNREGISTERED
Your Newspaper Theme license is not registered yet

Hi,
my Flex Block on the homepage is alway sorting via “Modified Date”, even when “-Latest-” ist chosen.
What can be the problem?

Kind Regards
Holger
Hi, I am using Flex Loop with Modified date selected for Sort order.
I would like to display the posts in Descending order.
I can’t see any options for ASC or DESC order.
How I can achieve that?
any hook available?
Hello,
(Using the latest version)
– Flex Loop Filters: Is there anyway to make it load results in ajax?
a. The filtered field are hidden when selecting an option. (any options)
b. The page keep reloading at each selection
– Flex Loop Sorting Options: This is returning results in ajax. Why not the above?
a. There’s only 3 options: Oldest posts, Modified date, Alphabetical A -> Z
b. How can we had options? Real Estate standards have (price asc/desc), size (asc/desc), year built.
Thank you
When using a cache plugin in WordPress (aka W3-TotalCache or other), it will disable the cache for authenticated users and build the page for all known users.
But when using ClouFlare, when page is in cache, admin users get same page as everybody.
So navigating on the frontend of the site admins have time to time the wordpress admin-bar (cf cache miss) and no admin-bar (cf cache HIT)
So when admins do have the admin bar the infinite scroll works as expected, but on pages without the admin-bar (cf cache HIT) the Ajax request reaches the server and bounces status 403.
Bellow you’ll find the request in curl
If I run that request without the line “-H ‘cookie’ … ” it works just fine.
So I believe the payload / ‘–data-raw’ section holds something about the authenticated user that has to match the cookie, and that when it finds the cookie and not the relevant data in the payload, the request gets rejected.
(I’ve tested all I could. Things like disabling any security plugins like Wordfence etc..)

Hi everyone,
I am having the same issue here, I just searched the forum for MetaBox.php and found this fresh thread.
My hosting is emailing me similarly to @joema, that their scan has found some infected file(s), together with the info I paste below:
File path
/home/umuseooc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/wp-admin/external/wpalchemy/MetaBox.php
Firma antivirus (antivirus signature)
{HEX}Malware.Expert.php.var.pattern
Last modified (which dates back to when I installed the theme)
2022-06-20 17:38:59
Quarantined status
no (which means my hosting doesn’t consider it such an evil threat)
I would be very grateful if you could sort this out.
I am happy to provide wp-admin access if needed. Let me know.
Thank you
Paolo
Hello —
With all respect, I find your answer to not be helpful.
I understand that the iframe width works for you. I watched the video of you inserting the embed code directly as HTML. I already tried that — the problem is with that method too.
Previously it worked for me, and now it does not.
Disabling the plug-ins is not practical — it would shut down many pages of my site. But if that’s what I need to do to convince you that I have a problem here, then I’ll do it in the middle of the night some time.
But I sincerely doubt that one of these plug-ins is affecting the iframe width. The video width works on Pages — it does not work on Posts.
You have programmers there. Can’t someone look at this page and figure out what is wrong?
Please help.
Thank you.

Here is a simple test page:
https://arcata1.com/?p=3044&preview=true
It consists of:
<p>Here the Youtube code is inserted directly as HTML.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>width = 315</p>
<p> </p>
<p><iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/612uI4Z7jsc?start=7065" width="315" height="177" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p>
Here is a list of my Plug-ins. Many are back-end, and only affect the editing, or fixing thumbnnails, etc. The music players were added yesterday — the video width problem occurred before that.

I think I understand the design the functionality of this theme but there are a couple of questions that the online documentation doesn’t explicitly make clear, at least for me. If anyone can answer this, I’d be very appreciative.
1. How does Theme Layout affect imported Headers and Footers? Are the colors and fonts of imported elements independent of the theme layout settings? The way it seems, is that the Theme Layout colors only affect attributes from building a website from scratch? Is this right?
2. If I use a themed template, can I no longer use the Theme Layout to change say, a page?
3. If I import a theme, say Metropolitan Pro. Where exactly are the global colors for active links, hover, and default fonts for that header, pages, and footer? Are they, located in the Manager only if you click on either the header, pages, and footer?
4. Is clicking on the header and footer from any page, truly a global change if you specify in the Manager that the template for that specific header and footer is global? It seems like it is but I don’t want to rely on luck that something I did works globally because I modified something on a page and sure enough, it wasn’t a global change. So, that theory seems to go down the drain.
I sort of have a working site and I’m asking these questions as both a confirmation and precaution for modifying elements. I have seen things happen where elements disappear and get rearranged by accidentally clicking somewhere on the screen. Fortunately, I have been saving often and close without changes when something like that happens. I just don’t want to break something right now that everything seems to be working. I can experiment later on dummy pages to learn the ins and outs.
Thanks and sorry about the noob questions.
Hello,
You can use the flex block and sort it to the Modified date -> https://i.imgur.com/xSXVLxG.png for this you need to have a category template from tagDiv Cloud Library -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloud-library-category-templates/
Thank you!
Hello, I am also looking to sort the posts on home page based on modified date instead of post publishing date. Can you please tell if this feature is available now?
When I sort by “Latest” posts, it is showing the oldest posts, it should be showing the newest ones. I modified the oldest one I didn’t want to show up, and if I choose to sort by “Modified Date” I would think it would show the one I just modified, but it doesn’t. It seems like the logic in the filter is reversed to what it should be.
When I deactivated tagDiv Standard Pack Plugin – slider on the home page disappeared and I got the error:
[td_block_big_grid_fl_10 td_grid_style=”td-grid-style-2″ tdc_css=”eyJhbGwiOnsiZGlzcGxheSI6IiJ9fQ==” sort=”modified_date”]
Currently in my website when I set the filter to latest it shows also the last modified items . I Only to want to sort the posts only by publish date not by modification date also.
see in this picture the latest post knowing that this picture was taken on 6th of October and we have about 40 post published after the one in the 25th of September.

Hi!
On the Cloud Template Categories pages the posts, despite the TagDiv editor box being marked as Extra>sort order> latest, the order is descending, the oldest posts appear first on the pages. On closer inspection, no changes in this box work (older posts, modified date…etc). Is there another place to order the most recent posts to appear first?
Thanks and regards

Thanks in advanced.
Hello,
Unfortunately, this option has not been implemented to sort by modified date.
The only way to sort the posts in the mega menu is by name or ID.
Thank you!
