I’m having a strange behavior with adsense. I had “auto ads” (google chooses the spots) in my previous layout and was fine, but as soon as changed to Newspaper, the size of the ads grew a lot.
The weight of the blog post is around 710px but the ads are 1200px. The result is this: https://ibb.co/bQvaiy

Seems that could be a possible layout issue. Similar problems happened when both composers are active at the same time and WPBakery page builder was used on posts.
Posts that were built with the WPBakery page builder will not look properly in terms of layout when the tagDiv composer plugin is active as well. Deactivate it and check if this has any effect.

I’ve never instaled WPB since I have this blog (2010), so the problem should’t be that.
I only used tagDiv composer to build the home page.

Then it could be the ads you are using. Try using Adsense ads with defined placement instead of auto placed ads

The size can be left on auto in the theme, and the served ads will be based on their location

I’ve checked and changed a lot of configs, and it’s not a problem with the auto-ads. It’s related to the ad type “in-article”. For some reason this type of ad doesn’t detect the correct size of the post space.
I removed the “auto-ads” from the <head></head> and inserted an ad “in-article” in the beginning, middle and end of the post and always happends the same.

Didn’t anyone reported the same problem? Seems like a code bug. With two other templates I have everything is working good.

In case somebody needs a “ok” solution, just put the code in Ads >> Article inline ad >> Your article incline ad.
Than the adsense size should be 640 x 165.
There were no similar reports with the inline ads. We would have investigated if more users claimed the same problem. All theme ad spots were tested with default Adsense ads. The inline ad should display properly, either floated left /right or full width.
