Hello. Please advise on the following items.
1. I cannot install the recommended plugin “WP Super Cache” as it states “Untested with your version of WordPress” (Not available)
2. Under System Status > php.ini configuration; the following are in yellow: max_execution_time and max_input_vars
3. Under System Status > WordPress and plugins; the following are in yellow: WP Memory Limit and Caching plugin
Hi,
After you have increased all of these parameters from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ If the problem is still there, please let us know!
Thank you!
Thank you for the response. Where do I go to make these changes, can I get to it from the WordPress dashboard? I am using Go-daddy as a host.
Hi,
All of these changes should have to be done from the CPanel access. Also, if you do not have any access to this section, you need to contact your hosting provider and request to increase all of these status parameters in order to achieve good theme results.
Thank you!
Hi Catalin,
I changed the max_input_vars successfully to 3000 but the system status still shows 1000 and yellow. Even after refreshing, clearing cache and after a few days, the system status still does not update. And I feel this is the one thing that is causing very slow performance of my website.
IS there anything else I can do to make sure the system status updates?
Thanks
Hi,
What WordPress version are you using? The super cache plugin is compatible with the latest version, should work fine with older as well – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/
I tried activating it, it works fine it seems – http://prntscr.com/ofnjhx with the latest theme and WordPress.
Note that some hosting providers have their own caching however, so they could disable or block users from installing specific caching plugins. You could contact them and ask if this is the case.
Best to ask them to make modifications as mentioned in the requirements guide, if possible. There could be a preferred method of doing it, or a specific setting/location that has to be used.
Thanks
