I read that TagDiv launched it’s own AMP solution, but I couldn’t find any demo of it, to browse the website in AMP version and get an idea of how it looks.
Is it worth uninstalling AMPforWP and install the one that comes with the theme? I am mostly interested of how pages look and how the video post types are integrated in AMP.
P.S. Haven’t updated yet, therefore this will be the decizional factor.
(I don’t work here) you can decide to either stick with what you are using right now or upgrade to Newspapers AMP plugin. Though you have to make some tests because some people are reporting some errors with the tagdiv plugin based on their sites. It is better you try the tagdiv’s plugin on a test site if you want to see a demo of how it works. Then you can make your choice.
I don’t really feel like doing test on my production website nor spend time on a staging environment. Waiting therefore for an official answer.
Also, does TagDiv’s AMP implementation support video type posts and contact form 7?

Featured videos are supported in the plugin. I don’t think contact form 7 forms will be displayed on AMP pages.
The plugin will receive more options and features in coming updates. The design is similar to the Yoast SEO website

It is up to you if you would like to use this plugin or keep using the implementation you have now. If that has more options that you require, which are not present in our plugin, you could keep using it for the moment.
Thanks. Featured video posts are super important. So, that a good reason to change to your AMP version.
Few more additional questions:
In the desktop version, the images have the option to be opened as modals. Is / will this be supported in the upcoming update? Currently, in the test demo you linked it’s not working (but redirects to the media url)
Secondly, does the AMP support dark theme / background?
Last: I tried to acces the AMP urls for the index page on the link you gave me, but doesn’t work. Only the blog post. (I tried https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/amp)
Do you have any example for AMP pages?
I just hope it would looks like this: https://ampforwp.com/themes/newspaper/
(would be a pity that some 3rd parties would implement your theme in AMP but not yourselves đ )

Indeed featured videos are supported, there will be no problem there. A lightbox is not available, it could be in the future. I will add this on out plugin suggestion list and it will be considered. Thank you for the suggestion.
The plugin has some color settings, but none for background. As well this might be added in a future update.
That will not work, accessing pages built with a page builder. AMP can be enabled for standard WordPress pages built similar to posts. We don’t have an example for pages at the moment. Our plugin is free, included in the package. As I mentioned it will receive more features in the coming updates. Thank you for all the suggestions, they are noted.
