I recently installed Newspaper 8.7 on this development site:

When I click on Edit with TD Composer it takes me back to my login page and I’m logged out. What gives?

That is unusual, did not see that before. Try as a fist step to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins as a quick test, check if the issue still happens. If you use a child theme deactivate it temporarily. Test again.
Ultimately you could try a theme reinstall by FTP (most recommended)

I contacted Godaddy and paid 50 dollars to have their team look into it, and they sent this message:

We checked but it does not seem to be a caching or configuration error that’s causing the issue. We also tried re-installing the WordPress core files.
This is the warning that shows up when the ‘Edit with TD Composer’ link is clicked:
“This page includes a password or credit card input in a non-secure context. A warning has been added to the URL bar. For more information, see https://goo.gl/zmWq3m.”
What the link above suggests is to make your site secure by adding an SSL certificate.
We tried to access the theme’s forum page to see if there is a fix provided for the issue above but it’s restricted to members only: https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/
Please contact the theme support about this issue this one so that they can provide a solution and let us know if we can help in anyway to implement it.
