I think I did not convey too well what I am trying to do here.
First, thanks for confirming that the pics in the gallery are indeed in full size, as per your documentation.
Back to my question; how do I remove the unnecessary grey padding visible on the left and right sides of each pic? Do I need an extra CSS code?
For example, on mobiles, the padding takes up even more UNNECESSARY space making the pics smaller and harder to see.

Please check the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU35E8hq9ME&t=79s So, you can see that some images are smaller or bigger. You can not customize that gray space, because it is necessary for the bigger images or smaller. This is the way we implement this gallery on the theme.

Not sure what you mean by this because regardless of how big or small the pics I use are, the grey space is always there. Again, UNNECESSARILY wasting space.

What my colleague meant is that your image format is not correct. your images are vertical, you need to make them horizontal. A ratio of 16:9 or 4:3 is more suitable for this.
