taking very long to install

Hello,

Installing the theme by using WordPress installer doesn’t work because of stylesheet.css. (Yes I’m uploading newsmag.zip instead of newsmag-tf.zip).

So i tried FTP and By FTP everything seems to work but then the plugins fails to install. (yes, I placed newsmag map in wp-themes).
When trying to install the required plugins I waited about 20 mins but it’s still installing js_composer.zip…

This should obviously be done in < 1 minute. Any idea on how this is possible?

Uitpakken van pakket…

De plugin installeren…

Install is taking 1 hour + already.

Install via FTP; unzip the plugin folder on your hard drive, then upload folder to
/wp-content/plugins/

delete any js_composer folder there now prior to FTP upload.

This works.

Hi Chris, Thanks.

When I unzipped the plugins manually it indeed worked. Still strange that it took very long to install.
Could there be a setting blocking the install option?

Where can I check whether I activated my theme or not?

Its in the installation steps but I dont have the activate theme button it seems..

Hi,

The activation warning appears a few days after you installed the theme, till then you can use the theme. Also plese check the following guides when the activation message appear:
