Hi,
Several of our readers have shown me that when they’re reading our website (www.mamsatwork.nl) on their mobile the text moves up and down every few minutes. I’ve checked myself and see what they mean. I’ve looked up other websites who use the newspaper theme and noticed that they have the same problem.
Can you please tell me how we can fix this because our readers find it very annoying.Thanks for helping out.

I have tested your website and could not recreate the issue. It could be the lazyload animation and slow internet connection. Please disable this feature http://screencast.com/t/sAsHT406 and check again.

Thanks for your quick reply. Can’t find the feature you mean… my guess is that we have an older version of your theme running at the moment. I just checked… version 4.6.2 … i see your version is 6.5.1 !
Did you make so many new updates in 8 months, wow ?
So it should be time we update our theme version i think. Still it’s weird though that you can’t recreate the issue but a lot of my customers see it, myself included.
It’s only on the mobile version.

Please be careful when updating. You will have some issues at first. The theme jumped from version 4 to version 6.
Newspaper 6 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 6 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom css will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.
Bottom line is that newspaper 6 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.

If you follow the link i provided and make the update it will not destroy your site :). Just use this tutorial https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and follow the steps provided. We did try to maintain compatibility as much as we could. Only a few elements will require a setting refresh.
