Hi!
In my theme settings there is the theme activation request.
There is no problem, but I do not want that Envato stores any information from me or my site stuff. Is that ok?
As well I prefer upgrading the theme manually doing backups with BackupBuddy than having automatic updates. Does the activation do some conflict with my prefer way of working?
Please keep me up to date.
Thanks!
You can pretty much *not* use the Envato plugin for anything, as it never worked right for me. WP can’t auto-update the theme as it’s not a free theme in the WordPress.org repository, so typically you always have to manually update a commercial theme, unless there is specific hook added by theme developer (Woo added this very recently, for example).
When I activated the theme nothing was sent to Envato, so I would not worry about it.
I manually update all my sites 🙂
Hi,
@nuno As Chris stated you don’t have to worry as the activation system was developed to stop mass piracy of the theme and I know this is an extra step for paying customers and it dose nothing else.
As for the them update we also recommend to do it manually and use this guide to do it via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Thanks
The problem is not activated. That’s problem:
Per category settings
td_api_base: td_category_walker_panel is not set. A component with the id td_category_walker_panel is missing. This can be due to an older plugin.

Hi,
The issue seems to come from line breaking – end of line special characters interpretation. Try to replace (overwrite it) the td_panel_categories.php file – http://screencast.com/t/rnRNRNL1Ri with the one provided in the following link – https://www.dropbox.com/s/tegdpkwb43z9air/td_panel_categories.zip?dl=0
Thanks!
Hi,
Glad that you have managed to solve this, sorry for inconvenience!
Thanks!
