I followed instructions perfectly. I use DreamHost. One click WP install. I installed all of the plugins that came with the folder. I upload the theme, activate, and it crashes WP and says page isnt working. No matter what I do.

Please help. Ive spent hours on this. If this isnt resolved id like my money back this is ridiculous.

When you activate the WordPress theme by default (Twenty Seventeen for example), the site also falls?

Hi,

These would be the theme requirements guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

If this are respected the theme and theme plugins should work fine. If needed contact the hosting provider and ask them to increase the parameters mentioned in the guide, or activate the necessary PHP extensions. Let us know the results.

Thanks

Thanks. I got it working by getting DreamHost to increase the php memory.

Im trying to use the TD builder but it is epic slow to the point where its not even worth using… I have the wp super cache set to default. What else can I do? I have the cheap dreamhost plan, do I need to upgrade to dreamhost?

If everything is set as the guide mentions that should not happen. Some cheaper plans offered by hosting providers may be limited heavily, that may not be enough for a decent working website with a premium theme.

Those would be the basic requirements of the theme, for most users they are sufficient. In some cases higher values are required however, depending on the rest of the plugins used for example.

Try to deactivate all your plugins as a quick test, leave only theme plugins active. Check if this has any effect.
If there is no improvement and not even the theme with only theme plugins functions correctly, then there still is a resource problem most likely.

Let us know the results.
