Over the past two weeks, I’ve been going back and forth with my webhost, Siteground regarding why my site with Newspaper is loading slow. I have optimized pretty much everything I could and get a 99% pagespeed score on GTMEtrix, and paid an outside WordPress specialist to optimize a few things, yet the waiting time for the theme template seems to be the major holdup now. Here’s what my webhost said:
The issue that the website is facing, is that it’s theme takes around 8 seconds to load, you can confirm this from the following excerpt:

As you can see the template part takes 7.9 seconds to load, this is only for the theme of the website.

I run the Newspaper theme on my main site without this issue, albeit using a different demo, so I am stumped on why this template is taking so long to load. Can you help?
Update: the loading time is an abysmal 20 seconds for the template! Please help me out, I invested a lot of time and money setting the site up and this issue is effectively killing my site.
