Theme Update

Hi there,

I have the newspaper theme and haven’t updated to the new version. I’m worried if I update the theme, that I’d have to adjust all of my settings and formatting from scratch. Is this the case? If so, is there a way to avoid this?

Hi,

That would depend on what theme version are you currently using. The latest version of the theme would be different from older versions (below 8.0 for example).
It is always recommended to make full backups before attempting to update

To avoid possible problems, keep the theme and WordPress up to date if possible.

Your theme panel settings, code entered in the theme panel code sections, posts and pages, these will not be lost when updating the theme.
If you decide to update, follow the guide and the steps mentioned there. The FTP method is preferred. Let us know if you have problems.
