I lately have this error message saying ‘too much recursion’.
Investigating I found out that in 99% of WordPress cases, this error may be caused by a bug in the JavaScript code of a plugin or theme. With regards to the plugins, I haven’t added any new plugin since the latest update.
Might it be the Newspaper template we are using?

Do you have the last theme version 12.7.2?
Can you provide some screenshots of that message/notice?
