If i want to place some buttons in the top of all posts – how is the best place to implement this so it will be easy to upgrade the templates.

You could edit the post template files in a child theme, add what ever is necessary directly in the post template files used. These are the post templates in the theme

They can be modified through a child theme

So you could copy the files in the child theme and make the modifications/additions you want there.
If have tried this using a child theme, but it ignores my changes. Does the newspaper theme support child theme ? The file i have been working on is : loop-single-6
Ps. It works fine now with the changes on the “master” file
The theme supports a child theme, it is provided in the theme package

If you want to modify the loop file you mention, copy it in the child theme and modify it as you wish. Paste it in the main child theme directory, no structure needed for that file.
Remember to activate the child theme as well, in WordPress themes section.
