I’m trying to change the language of my website into Spanish. I got the latest 7.5 all working as it should .. apart from this.
1) After setting up the fresh site with the template I did an export / import from another Swedish language site I have with the same template, so far so good.
2) However this site is supposed to be in Spanish. So I’m trying to use “Translations” / “Load translations / Spanish” to have the theme using Spanish. It just won’t load. It only work if I select “English”. I have tried on other of my sites… I now notice same issue there. I cannot load translations. Also tried with all plugins disabled etc, “Newspaper system status” show no problems.
I see many others have had same problem (https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/load-translation-doesnt-work/) and you write… that doing nothing but trying to load translation you guys with users crediencial you could load no problem.
As you write “Please note that the translations are loaded from our servers.” What I see point to a server issue in your end.. it might answer why so many users report problems with it.. and when you later login to their site, change no config, just load and you get translations?
Could I be right?
Hi,
Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access so we can take a closer look and provide you an accurate answer about this. Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks!
Hi Alin, thanks for getting back and your suggestion. But I’m sure you can understand we are not comfortable with giving admin access to live sites. This is a problem that I’m having across several sites and different languages with your theme. Do you have any other suggestion?
Hello kamoe,
Please notice that if you want further investigations you should provide your credentials so we can inspect it closer your setup page. It is necessary to do that so we can be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
It’s really a bad culture around this in the WP community.. to get some support / info where documentation is missing you are expected to hand out the “keys to the castle”. I can understand why you would wish for that when you deal with lesser technical wp users that we have plenty of. But I also hope you could see that this is a problem for professionals and commercial users to simply hand out admin user access. Its forbidden by company policy and it’s against any way of doing business. I’m a IT professional of 20 years in the business.. ONLY in the wp community do we get such requests we never have it from any other software or hardware supplier when there is a problem.
So please ask me for whatever info about our system you think might be relevant for this problem and we’ll happily provide it. Or run any test or whatever you think is needed. I have bee using your theme on various installations over a couple of years now. Think we have six licences for the moment. Loading translations only worked ONE time for us.
Thanks for understanding

Hi,
The translations should work as expected. They work fine for us. We had reports of this issue from a number of users and we requested access from them to investigate. The thing is, the translations worked for us on the first try. We accessed the sites and were able to load a translation without seeing any problem. It is most definitely something local causing the issue. Please try a different machine or disable the firewall a brief moment or anything local that can prevent the theme’s functionality. Unfortunately I cannot say for sure without inspecting your site. If you are in the business for over 20 years you should know that you cannot “fix” anything from a distance. You have to go in and investigate. If you cannot allow us to, you will have to do it. Here is a simple thing you can do. Create a sub-domain on your server and install wordpress and the theme. Then load a translation. If it still won;t work, try to install a localhost with wordpress and the theme and try to load a translation. If it still does not work, try from a different machine.
I hope this helps
Thank you!
Yes.. I did notice other posts where you wrote that.. if you noticed my comment I from that suspect it’s your server that might have some problem from time to time. As nothing just starts working all by itself like magic.. correct?
Did I say I expected you to fix anything ? I only expect pointers, input, .. look at this that… check config X setting Y… etc. And anything you could see logging into the site I could provide as info if you just bothered to ask.. this really bad way of “helping” users ONLY appear in the wordpress community. Really bad way.. not only is it a stupid idea giving away the “keys to the house” sending them miles across the internet. By fixing things for your clients they don’t learn how to fix it themself.
I have the same problem on TWO completely different servers… on clean wp install and various enviroments.. used different clients… checked for issues with popup blocker +++ well I’ll translate manually and NOT share with you the new translations.
Thanks for “all the help”.
Common issues with loading elements:
a) not enough memory allocated to WP (256M or higher recommended)
b) timeout and process run time too low for php (mine is 2000 for both)
c) mod-security running blocking elements in WP
d) using old version of php (5.4 not recommended; 5.6 recommended)
e) general permisssions issue due to WP being installed by the hosting panel and partially “owned” by root, apache, and not by ftpuser
f) funky issue with CDN setup
g) poor optimization plugin being used to minify or compress elements of code on the fly, breaking capability
h) cURL and other server elements not working
i) robots.txt blocking access to parts of WP
j) custom WP install not setup right, renaming paths and folders
k) mis-match of https and http, www and non-www site structure
These are most often the “reasons” why 20,000 people can do something and 200 cannot.
Hello,
You expect pointers and input for an issue that we have not figure out yet. If we had a solution we would have provided the answer. But this issue is only happening in certain cases and we could not identify it at all from our end. Please try to load translations from a different machine. No one is asking for your house keys. We are asking for a temporary admin account you can delete afterwards. Your private information falls under our privacy policy: https://forum.tagdiv.com/privacy-policy-2/.
if you do not like the way we provide the theme support or you decide you cannot use the theme on your site, we will provide a refund so you can choose a better theme that fits your needs. You can request a refund here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new
Thank you!
A proper “system requirements” would be what could have done the job. As I said.. ONLY WP-plugin/theme related support ask for “keys to the whole villa” when you ask for support. There are no real reasons why this is needed unless it’s because you assume you are dealing with a totally newb user. No professionals or corporate users give away credencials to entire systems.. it’s just not done.
And there are no info you will get from logging into the users system that user/me cannot provide you. So this appear to be a matter of principle now for you. That’s not very professional of you.
You have great theme and usually excellent support. But your final answer was really unprofessional and disappointing. And look, a non tagdiv employeed user provided now provided me with a relevant feedback that I can use to investigate! All you did was waste my time with pointless silly request for system access.
Hello,
Sorry you feel this way about our support. Here are couple of solutions I can provide:
1. load the translation in the wordpress translations settings first and your translations should load automatically for spanish so you will not need to load spanish in the theme panel. http://screencast.com/t/Q6hUAo1F4
2. Use this topic as I has to search for your website in other topics (as you did not provide it here) and saw that you use https.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-plugin-doesnt-translate-to-spanish/
If you want professional help, please be a professional yourself and do not make accusations and not provide all the circumstances of the issue you are facing.
Thank you!
1) If you look at what I wrote earlier in this post.. ” Think we have six licences for the moment.”<—- So that’s six different websites.. so.. what you saw is another site actually. It’s not related to https.. have same problem on http and https sites.
2) If you look at what I wrote easrlier in this post “checked for issues with popup blocker… etc” <—- so the URL you point to is irrelevant as I’m sure you understand now.. there is nothing blocking scripts.
I can add that there are no errors in error log either..
No need to waste more time here. I’ll use the input I got from another non tag-div user.. (Chris S) as it’s the only helpfull input I got there… This is getting absurdly stupid. You basically told me to go f. myself but not in those words (I could stop using the theme..) If that’s not an unprofessional answer I don’t know what is. I wrote “You have great theme and usually excellent support. But your final answer was really unprofessional and disappointing. ” now you are twisting it into something else.. and we are both wasting our time so no need to continue this thread unless you put me in contact with your support manager.. we are both wasting our time.
Thank you.

Hi,
I’m very sorry for all inconveniences and I suggest to stop the discussion here on forum as we will to get anywhere. So please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and at least provide one of your sites where you have this problem and also provide how much details you can about your operating system, browser used(I suggest to try this on multiple browsers and if it is possible on another pc) and also the browsers extensions you have installed and active.
I understand that you cannot provide wp-admin access for your live sites, but what you say if you make a new install on a test site/subdomain and if the issue persist you provide access there. Please understand that we could not find any issues with the translation system and what I can tell you (like Bogdan stated above) is that it doesn’t work on ssl sites, this is the only problem but we will try to fix it also. I know that are many topics on the forum related to the translation system but I can assure you that we could not found any issues also for the users who provided wp access. We could load a language without any problems. When I have asked them about some details about the browser, extensions.. none provided an accurate answer so we can try to recreate this. So I ask you about this and maybe you can help us to find the cause of this issue. Please let us know via email at contact@tagdiv.com and also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks!
