Trouble updating the theme

Hi,

I tried to update the theme but i did not succeed.

– De Envato Toolkit plugin does not show the ‘Themes’ tab (only ‘Setup’ tab) so i can not update.

– When i try to update within WP (after activating an other theme first) i get an error message:
‘Folder already exist: /home/deb102651/domains/lochemsnieuws.nl/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/’

What did i do wrong?

Hello henrib,

Usually, we recommend making your update only through FTP because it is the most safety way that you can do an update. The Envato Toolkit plugin sometimes creates some errors and might appear this issues in the updating process and if you try to update your theme within WP you get this error because the entire folder wich contains the source code is not removed totally and because of this you will get this warning with ‘Folder already exist’. Please try to remove your old version and try to update it only via FTP according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
