Hi
The Twitter link in posts don’t show featured images in share tweets. I know the post should have a featured image for twitter can tweet a imagen with the post, but this don’t work in Twitter, while Facebook, Google+ and pinterest don’t have problems. What can be the problem? Please test here: http://chilecientifico.com/tras-la-huella-del-primer-perro-chileno/
Thanks!
Hello Sebastian Escobar,
Unfortunately, the Twitter will not take the featured image when the post will be shared on the Twitter, sorry! If you will check our demo, you will see the same behavior, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5RM6M6ORehG
Thanks for the message!
But it is strange that the image is not seen also when the image has already been sent. I did some tests on other sites and the image is not seen in preview, but it does look when it has been published. But here the image is not seen in either way, that is, I can not send images from the site through twitter. Please, do some test.
Thanks!
Hi,
You can use the Yoast SEO options regarding the twitter sharing
– https://kb.yoast.com/kb/setting-up-twitter-cards-in-wordpress-seo/
More useful information here

Thanks
Hi
I installed Yoast SEO and did all steps that say in http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-twitter-cards-in-wordpress/, but it don’t work. I want to try with the second method, but I don’t know where to insert the <?php code in the theme for to test and validate. Can you help me?
Hi,
It should work if you followed the steps, and configured the Yoast plugin like it is mentioned. Check if you used the same settings as in the guide and then test with the Twitter card validator to check if it works properly.
Also clear any caching installed after you setup the configuration.
If you would like to try the code that is mentioned , it needs to be entered in the theme header file, before the closing head tag as instructed

Hi
I configured the Yoast plugin like it is mentioned and tested with the Twitter card validator to check without results. I wrote to Yoast in WP forum and the answer was:
“After reviewing the code for your site, you are outputting multiple copies of the Twitter tags. This can cause problems when sharing content as Twitter will not always pull the data entered in our plugin.
Please disable plugins or theme functions that add Twitter tags. If you are unsure what is adding the additional tags, please run a conflict check following the steps here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts”
I disabled all the plugins (this disarmed the whole site) and then I enabled only Visual Composer, because without this the site is useless.
Twitter did not work, did not show image when I publish (is no important the preview). I clean the cache and wait several minutes. I re-cleaned the cache, in this way some times.
With this I saw that it is not the responsibility of another plugin, although it could be a “clash” of plugins trying to do the same.
That’s why I decided to write to you again.
It is no longer YOAST SEO or another plugin, and there is something in the template or visual composer that I do not understand what it is.
I need your help again.
Hi,
I could not say why this is happening. You could try a fresh theme install
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Have only Visual composer and the Yoast plugin active, make the same configuration settings and test again with the Twitter card validator.
Thanks
The problem is still there with Visual Composer and with Yoast active. The newspaper template is the last version, but do you say maybe y have to install it again, overwrite template files by FTP? Or do I reinstall ir through wordpress themes? Please tell me.
Hi,
This is a unusual issue you are having. Inspecting your website the Twitter card is set as intended, but the validator is not picking it properly

Instead of the image with summary, it detects only summary. Also there is no description present, and that is causing an error from what I can tell.
I have found some possible causes for twitter sharing not working properly, that might be useful in this case

Thanks
Yes, I saw the guide twitter troubleshooting questions but none gave me an answer, besides, I understand very little about where to find the files to modify and how to do it. I asked a friend who knows, who told me that community managers use special programs to be able to share the images on twitter, because it is a common problem that images are not displayed. One of the most used programs is twitsshot (http://www.twitshot.com/) but also Hootsuite in its Pro version (https://blog.hootsuite.com/pic-twitter-publishing-option/).
With this, I left the client to find a better option to share through twitter and leave the web quiet.
I hope this works for others with the same problem!
Thanks very much!
