Twitter card meta tag and Facebook og property

Hi, I’m trying to add the twitter card summary meta tag manually. It works actually, the feature image is showing full size. However when I add that (I’m putting it into the custom HTML section) posting the same article on facebook is giving me duplicate feature images! As if I provided 2 images, which I didn’t. Shouldn’t it be possible to add it manually?

I know it says that the yoast premium plugin is recommended for doing that but I was hoping to accomplish that manually.

Is there a way to make it work on both Facebook and Twitter?

I ended up using a plug-in now “open graph for FAcebook & Twitter” but I’m still getting the same behavior, double feature image when posting to Facebook.

Could that be a theme issue? Did anybody witness the same behavior with Twitter large image summary card and Facebook posts?

Sorry but we have not tested adding the metas manually. We can only recommend seo yoast like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
