Twitter Social Counter not Working

+1 for the problem.
Latest social counter plugin in use – which is listed as v1.0.
Twitter user: festivalisten (but even envato doesnt work)

It is really a strange behavior. After having the right settings for days now.. it is working. I wonder how long it will last this time 🙂

Yes I agree – working for me now. I was looking at this alternative to maybe replace it with: http://wordpress.org/plugins/social-count-plus/

When I look at other similar widgets they ask for various Twitter API’s e.g.API Key, API Secret, Access Token, Access Token Secret, so I wonder if the TagDiv widget is unusual for not needing this info?

May be it’s a plugin because i don’t have any issue with mine on my site it’s working as entended also today i removed the speed booster from my site because it was giving me a lot of problems with other plugins so may be it’s something you can check and see if that can be the reason..just my 2 cents

Yes, my social counter suddenly is not working.
I saw your demo in themeforest also not working last day. Now, we saw again is working.
But our mine still not working.

Same issue here.

The fact that it works sporadically, makes me think that the account that the plug-in uses is being throttled/limited – the standard REST API has a 350 requests per hour limit.

Is the plug-in using the same twitter oauth account for each install? If not, how is that working? I don’t have time to dive into the plug-in code right now, but I will over the weekend…

Think you’ve hit the nail on the head – all other social counter plugins I’ve seen require twitter oauth stuff and secret tokens…

Makes me wonder if users will be able to feature twitter follower counts if they don’t have this additional information.
